Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness means paying attention to the present moment with a sense of curiosity and interest. By practicing mindfulness every day, you are making a powerful choice to meet life more fully and openly. It's about a calmer, more peaceful mind; greater self awareness; clarity, humor and connection to others.

THE MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION PROGRAM (MBSR) gathers once a week for 8 weeks. It meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9 P.M. The upcoming program will be held at Earthplace in Westport, CT. It begins January 30, 2018. Click here to download the flyer

MBSR teaches us to incorporate awareness into everyday life. As we practice, we begin to see how it is frequently our own thinking, which we believe is "the truth", that causes us unhappiness, anxiety and depression. The classes often become a true support for participants while learning, sharing, laughing and inquiring into what really matters to them. Joy is available for private sessions for those who prefer to get started right away.
